Slightly Windy

At the heart of Reuge’s philosophy is a deep harmony with our natural surroundings; we draw inspiration from them and seek to elevate their beauty.
Slightly Windy takes us to the time just before harvest, when a gentle zephyr caresses us in its warm embrace.

Description

This golden ballet captures the essence of the scene that unfolds in front of the Manufacture each summer. Waves of wheat undulating in the wind, awaiting harvest, a luminous dance that captivates our senses.
Twelve carefully selected and preserved wheat stalks from the fields of Sainte-Croix sway gently to the melodies, inviting us to enter that same state of tranquility.
It was with this vision that Slightly Windy was conceived, so that we can see and feel this natural wonder, even in the heart of winter. Thanks to a musical mechanism linked to an automaton, the wheat gently sways in harmony, recreating nature’s organic choreography.

This piece was developed in partnership between the students of the Master in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship at ECAL and Manufacture Reuge and reinterpreted in 2023.
