Butterfly

The aesthetic of Butterfly is influenced by the architecture of the Sydney Opera House by Jørn Utzon. This musical automaton invites the viewer to draw back the curtain and immerse themselves in the lyrical performance.
Butterfly reimagines the magic of opera through its diverse artistic forms: music, performance, and theater.

Description

Butterfly takes its cue from Puccini’s opera, Madama Butterfly. It engages the audience by inviting them to raise the curtain to reveal its golden soprano. The song’s resonance can be modulated by adjusting the blades, echoing the grandeur of the Sydney Opera House.

Our choice of melodies for Butterfly is ‘One fine day’ (Madame Butterfly) by G. Puccini, ‘Flower duet’ (Madame Butterfly) by G. Puccini and ‘Goodbye flowered asil’ (Madame Butterfly) by G. Puccini.
